Leading with purpose, built for good.

A different financial services business

Our purpose is to help people across the UK build financial foundations for life. People are at the heart of what we do. It’s in our name and in our DNA.

For over 80 years, People’s Partnership has helped millions achieve greater financial security. As a business without shareholders, we reinvest profits to benefit our members and society.

We’re one of the UK’s fastest growing workplace pension providers, supporting over 7 million members and managing £35bn in assets, using our scale for good.

Action and impact

Aligning our purpose and our commercial strategy, we’ve made it our mission to do business responsibly. Our purpose not only informs what we do, but how we do it. And we’ve made some giant leaps.

Purpose

People are why we do what we do

“In an ever-changing world challenged with everything from economic inequality to climate change, we’re dedicated to doing the right thing for people in the UK and the world more widely.

We’ve already taken giant steps forward in achieving this, and I’m constantly inspired by how everyone here brings our values to life. Their hard work and commitment are making a real difference, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed.”

Living our values

We believe in the importance of a financial services industry that works in the interests of every consumer in the UK and is fair for all.

Our investment approach brings together world-class expertise, while tackling some of the major social, environmental, and economic issues the country faces.

Responsible investment

We now invest 80% of our members’ money into climate-aware investments, having moved an initial £15bn in 2024 – the largest shift into green investments of any UK master trust pension scheme. And we’re committed to cutting carbon intensity by 50% by 2030. We’ve strengthened our Responsible Investment Policy and are growing our private market investments to £4bn by 2030 — backing long-term economic growth across the UK.

Our culture

We know our success depends on our people – they’re at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud of our inclusive workplace, the opportunities we provide including further education, flexible working, and supportive benefits for carers and parents to enable our people to thrive inside and outside of the workplace.

Championing reform

We’re calling for change in the pension transfer process and have launched a 5-point plan to help pension savers when consolidating or transferring pensions.

Partnerships

Our approach is built on a strong foundation of purposeful partnerships, shaping a better tomorrow.

Who we partner with

We represent the under-served in society, creating opportunities for those facing barriers to employment. From supporting careers in construction and funding practical education, to tackling digital exclusion, our work spans a range of impactful initiatives on a national scale.

Set up by unions and employer federations, we were founded to support workers in the construction industry who were often overlooked. That legacy continues to guide us today, as we strengthen our dedication to fairness and long-term social impact, not only to the construction industry but across all industries

We’re committed to creating a fairer future by supporting those who face barriers to employment. Our partnerships focus on building stronger communities through practical support and inclusive opportunities.

We collaborate with organisations including:

  • Good Things Foundation
  • Dare to Dream
  • Construction Youth Trust
  • Crawley Open House
  • The King’s Foundation

Together, we open doors, develop skills, and empower individuals to shape brighter futures. We do this because stronger communities lead to a fairer future for everyone.

Collaborative initiatives

Financial education with nudge

Our partnership with nudge allows us to support our members through educational tools. Nudge combines behavioural psychology, data analysis, and personalised education to provide users with the tools and knowledge they need to manage their money effectively.

The Charitable Trust

Our Charitable Trust helps improve lives across the construction industry. Since 1991, the Trust has provided financial, practical, and emotional support to workers and their families, funded vital research into occupational health, and backed education and training initiatives. Through grants and partnerships, it continues to champion wellbeing, safety, and opportunity for those shaping our built environment.

Good Things Foundation

We’ve partnered with the Good Things Foundation to advance digital inclusion by improving access to devices, connectivity, and developing digital skills. Our support begins with the National Device Bank and continues through collaboration with local digital hubs to help people become more confident online.

Dare to Dream

The Dare to Dream programme reaches 5,000+ Sussex students through collaboration with schools, authorities, and employers. Volunteers help students with experiences and guidance that help them fulfil their potential and grow in confidence. In return, volunteers develop workplace skills, both practical and social, boosting positivity within their roles and workplaces.

Research and insights (New Choices, Big Decisions)

Our ‘New choices, Big Decisions’ research shows that many people don’t feel confident managing their pension. Over half didn’t get advice before accessing their savings, and most stick with the easiest option – even if it’s not right for them. Some even return to work when their money runs out. We’re using these insights to drive change – pushing for simpler support, better default options, and clearer guidance.

We provide financial security for people by providing simple, accessible products.

We’re the only major pension provider with a ‘best price promise’, helping our members’ savings go further.

We reward our savers through our unique management charge structure, giving back over £30m annually to our members.

We offer inclusive education through retirement planning tools.
